Here are the most reliable model years of some of the most popular Toyota models
Here are the most reliable model years of some of the most popular Toyota models today.
For the past half a century, Toyota has built its reputation for making durable, reliable, and high-quality vehicles. According to independent automotive review groups, both Toyota and its luxury brand Lexus have been consistent podium placers in the rankings of the world's most reliable car brands. In fact, Toyota and Lexus nabbed the 1st and 2nd spots respectively in Consumer Reports' annual automotive reliability rankings for 2022.
Through the combined efforts of Toyota's design, manufacturing, and management teams, many Toyota vehicles can last an average of 200,000 to 300,000 miles. However, despite Toyota's distinction for dependability, the Japanese automotive giant doesn't always bring home the bacon. For example, JD Power gave Lexus the crown for being the most reliable car brand for 2023, but Toyota had to settle for 7th place behind Genesis, Kia, Buick, Chevrolet, and Mitsubishi.
